Xolo is an online gestoría for freelancers that starts at €15 a month for invoicing only and €39 a month when it files your quarterly and annual taxes, all before VAT. It has 3.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 489 reviews, with 77% giving five stars and 17% giving one. Its strongest case is a freelancer who invoices clients in other countries, because its Global plan handles intra-community VAT.
Its weak points are the price of the Global plan, which its pricing page does not publish, and the extra €6 a month for the personal tax return.

An online gestoría and invoicing platform for freelancers. You work through its software and, on the plans that include it, a manager prepares and files your taxes.
All four plans include invoicing that complies with VeriFactu. There is no long-term contract, though some benefits carry a minimum stay, covered below.
Three details that change the real cost:
All prices exclude VAT, so add 21%.
The free freelance registration on Local and Global needs a minimum stay of six months. The free return on Premium needs four.
And the Global plan's page shows a promotional €0 with no regular price. Ask what it becomes before the promotion ends.
On Trustpilot Xolo has 3.8 out of 5 from 489 reviews:
The shape matters more than the average. Almost everyone is either delighted or unhappy, with nothing in between. That pattern usually means the service works very well for one kind of customer and badly for another.
How it compares with the two other online gestorías we have reviewed:
Xolo has the lowest score and by far the smallest sample, so its average moves more with each review. Read the latest month and the one-star reviews before you decide.
Pros
Cons
It suits a freelancer who bills clients in other EU countries and wants the intra-community VAT side handled, or someone who only needs compliant invoicing and will file their own taxes on Lite.
It suits less a freelancer with only Spanish clients who wants a named adviser on the phone, or anyone who dislikes minimum stays.
What it is: a tax advisory with its own platform and real accountants behind it.
Price: Copilot is €0 for invoicing only, and the advisory plans start at €40 a month on annual billing, or €50 month to month. Registration as autónomo is free.
Against Xolo: the personal tax return is included in the advisory plans and there is a free tier to try first.
Limits: it is built for Spain only, it is not an ERP, and the entry plan caps you at 10 documents a month.
What it is: an online advisory focused on finding deductions, priced by income band.
Price, before VAT: €29.90 a month on annual billing for the entry band, and €49.90 paying monthly. A €9.90 plan covers invoicing only.
Against Xolo: cheaper if you pay for the year and want deductions pushed hard.
Limits: the price doubles if you do not pay the year upfront, and there is no assigned adviser. The full picture is in Declarando reviews, in Spanish.
What it is: known for the personal tax return, with monthly plans for freelancers too.
Price: Standard €29.90 a month and Premium €59.90, with the annual return included in both and a three-month minimum.
Against Xolo: the return is included, and the entry price is lower than Xolo's Local plan.
Limits: the personal adviser only comes with Premium. More in TaxDown reviews, in Spanish.
What it is: an online advisory with a personal adviser by phone and no minimum term.
Price: €34.90 a month, with the return included.
Against Xolo: a phone adviser and no commitment at a lower price than Local.
Limits: fewer digital tools, and its website gives little detail on plan limits.
What it is: an online advisory with an assigned adviser on every plan.
Price, before VAT: €65 a month up to 15 invoices a quarter, €95 up to 100, and €180 unlimited.
Against Xolo: an assigned adviser from the first plan, and pricing by invoice volume.
Limits: the most expensive way in, and the personal tax return is charged separately from €40.

Ask what the Global plan costs after the promotion. The page does not say.
Add VAT to every price. All the numbers above are before it.
Check any minimum stay that comes with the free registration or the free return.
Collect your own records first: your books, the returns already filed and your invoices, in that order.
Check your invoice numbering continues without gaps in the next tool.
Revoke the old powers last, once the new adviser has everything. You can do it yourself from the tax agency's electronic office.
Xolo is worth it if you invoice clients abroad and want intra-community VAT handled, or if €15 for compliant invoicing is all you need.
It is less convincing if you want a phone adviser or hate minimum stays, and its rating of 3.8 rests on only 489 reviews.
For a free trial first: renn.
For the lowest entry with the return included: TaxDown.
For a phone adviser at a low price: AsesoraGes.
What not to do: compare Xolo's €39 with a competitor's annual-billing price. Check the billing period and the VAT on both.
€15 a month for invoicing only, €39 a month on Local with tax filing, €99 on Premium, and Global with two months free until 31 October. All before VAT.
3.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 489 reviews, with 77% five stars and 17% one star.
Its pricing page says all its plans include invoicing that complies with VeriFactu.
Only on Premium. On Local and Global it is €6 a month extra.
No long-term contract. Some benefits carry a minimum stay: six months for the free registration and four for the free return.
It depends on what you miss. For a free trial, renn. For the lowest entry with the return included, TaxDown. For a phone adviser, AsesoraGes.
